Common Peace,
Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence

Dear Family of Friends and Supporters:

So much has happened this past year - so many changes - so many challenges - in our world, our communities, our schools, our families! In the midst of these many challenges, so many of you have reached deep and demonstrated great courage . . . stepping into the unknown in ways previously unimagined. And in the midst of these changes you have continued to support our work and our mission at Common Peace. We are deeply grateful for all that you have given to us in heart, mind and action in 2009!

Thank you for being our partners! For gifting us with your time, energy and resources. Thank you for being at the Heart of the Matter of what we are about - expressing as the Beloved Community - transforming lives through the power and practice of "nonviolence" as a way of life!

As 2009 draws to a close, please visit our website http://www.commonpeace.org, and consider donating any amount to our nonviolence education programs and projects: 64 Ways to Practice Nonviolence Animation Project, Adopt-A-School Curriculum Program, Nonviolence Teacher and Student Trainings, Race Relay theatrical experience. . . and more!

We are at a strategic moment of re-organization and planning for 2010. Our website is in need of a facelift, new office space is needed, our Season for Nonviolence 2010 is about to be launched, and more . . .

We look forward to our work together in 2010! Wishing you and your family a peace-filled holiday Season, and an abundance of Loving Action in the New Year!

The Staff and Board of Directors
of Common Peace, Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence

"Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral question of our time -- the need for man to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to violence and oppression." -- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
