A Center for Nonviolence

Our vision for A Season for Nonviolence L.A. is to establish a Center for Nonviolence here in Los Angeles.  The Center will be the organizational structure in which SNV-LA's programs, services and resources will be housed.  It will offer on-going support for education and the practical application of the principles and strategies of nonviolence.  These programs include, but are not limited to the annual 64 day Nonviolence Campaign.

As the year 2000 Nonviolence Campaign takes off, your participation is wanted in an  experimental computer/newsletter/organizational effort to sharpen our vision of a Center for Nonviolence in Los Angeles.   Please join the dialogue at A Center for Nonviolence public network on the sharing LA website.

What will a Center for Nonviolence in Los Angeles
contribute to the community?
  • Collective Communication, Inc., is pleased to implement a community dialogue for A Season for Nonviolence - LA.

  •
  • To participate, prepare a short, thoughtful reply to the following question: "What will a Center for Nonviolence in Los Angeles contribute to the community?" (No more than 500 words, please.) Your vision and ideas are wanted.

  •
  • Send your written answer to Roger Eaton. If you have email, that is the preferred method of communication, to save retyping.  Include your name and telephone number, please.

  •
  • When we have enough replies, they will be posted in sharing LA.  In the spirit of participatory democracy, all the supporters of SNVLA will be urged to read the suggestions and rate them for interest and approval.  The highest rated response will be published in the next SNVLA newsletter along with a reply by Executive Director Eisha Mason.
